Wunjo (ᚹ)
Leela Atlas team · Updated
Joy and harmony.
Literal meaning: joy · Freyr's aett, the first group of eight
In the old rune poems
The Old English poem describes joy as the lot of one who knows little sorrow and pain, and has prosperity and a sufficient home.
Light side
A quiet, shared happiness: being in tune with yourself and with the people around you, enough as you are.
Shadow side
Waiting for joy to arrive when everything is finally perfect, or forcing harmony by hiding what is wrong.
Drawing Wunjo in a game of Leela
In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the Elder Futhark runes when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:
- What small, real joy is already present in the situation behind your question?
- What does "Wunjo" show you about your square?
- If "Wunjo" were advice for your question, what would it say?
- Where do you meet "Wunjo" in your life right now?
