Raidho (ᚱ)
Leela Atlas team · Updated
The road and the right rhythm.
Literal meaning: riding, journey · Freyr's aett, the first group of eight
In the old rune poems
The Old English poem jokes that riding seems easy to a man indoors but is hard on a long road; the Icelandic one calls it the rider's joy and a swift journey.
Light side
You move at your own pace and in good order; each step follows from the last, and the journey itself makes sense.
Shadow side
Planning a journey you never start, or rushing so fast you lose your rhythm and direction.
Drawing Raidho in a game of Leela
In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the Elder Futhark runes when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:
- Is your question about where you are going, or about how you are travelling?
- What does "Raidho" show you about your square?
- If "Raidho" were advice for your question, what would it say?
- Where do you meet "Raidho" in your life right now?
