Naudhiz (ᚾ)
Leela Atlas team · Updated
Need that teaches.
Literal meaning: need, necessity · Hagal's aett, the second group of eight
In the old rune poems
The Old English poem says need tightens the heart, yet becomes help and healing if heeded in time. The Norwegian one: need leaves little choice.
Light side
Constraint as a teacher: lack shows you what you truly need and calls up resilience you did not know you had.
Shadow side
Living from scarcity: fear of not having enough narrows your choices and hardens your heart.
Drawing Naudhiz in a game of Leela
In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the Elder Futhark runes when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:
- What does the lack in your situation teach you about what you really need?
- What does "Naudhiz" show you about your square?
- If "Naudhiz" were advice for your question, what would it say?
- Where do you meet "Naudhiz" in your life right now?
