Laguz (ᛚ)
Leela Atlas team · Updated
Water and intuition.
Literal meaning: water, lake · Tyr's aett, the third group of eight
In the old rune poems
The Old English poem speaks of the sea, endless and frightening to those on an unsteady ship. The Icelandic one calls water a welling stream and land of fish. Intuition is a modern reading.
Light side
Flow and feeling: you trust the currents of emotion and intuition and let yourself be carried where you need to go.
Shadow side
Being swept away by moods, or so afraid of deep water that you never leave the shore.
Drawing Laguz in a game of Leela
In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the Elder Futhark runes when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:
- What does your feeling, beneath your thoughts, say about your question?
- What does "Laguz" show you about your square?
- If "Laguz" were advice for your question, what would it say?
- Where do you meet "Laguz" in your life right now?
