Fehu (ᚠ)
Leela Atlas team · Updated
Wealth that must keep flowing.
Literal meaning: cattle, movable wealth · Freyr's aett, the first group of eight
In the old rune poems
The Old English poem calls wealth a comfort, yet says it must be shared freely to earn honour; the Norse poems warn that it breeds quarrels between kin.
Light side
Your resources, money, time and energy, are alive when they move: given, invested, put to work for what matters to you.
Shadow side
Holding on too tightly, or measuring your worth by what you own, turns abundance into worry and distance from others.
Drawing Fehu in a game of Leela
In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the Elder Futhark runes when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:
- In your question, what are you holding on to, and what would happen if you let it circulate?
- What does "Fehu" show you about your square?
- If "Fehu" were advice for your question, what would it say?
- Where do you meet "Fehu" in your life right now?
