The Army 師 Shī

Organise your strength with discipline and a clear, just purpose.

Trigrams: Earth over Water

The judgement

Gathered strength needs discipline and an experienced, trustworthy leader. When the cause is right and well led, there is good fortune and no blame.

The image

Water is held deep within the earth. So the noble one is generous toward people and quietly gathers many to a common purpose.

Light side

Organised, focused effort can turn scattered forces into a real power.

Shadow side

Discipline without a just aim becomes mere control.

Drawing The Army in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the I Ching when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• What inner forces need to be gathered and led toward one clear aim?
• What does "The Army" show you about your square?
• If "The Army" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "The Army" in your life right now?
