Revolution 革 Gé

Change is due; act at the right time and with clear reasons.

Trigrams: Lake over Fire

The judgement

Change is trusted only when its time has truly come. Then it brings great success, and regret falls away.

The image

Fire burns within the lake, and one must overcome the other. The noble one sets the calendar in order and makes the seasons clear.

Light side

A deep transformation is possible now if the timing and motive are right.

Shadow side

Change pushed too early, or for its own sake, meets mistrust and resistance.

Drawing Revolution in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the I Ching when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• Is the time for change in this matter really ripe, and how do you know?
• What does "Revolution" show you about your square?
• If "Revolution" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "Revolution" in your life right now?
