Grow steadily upward like a young tree, one patient step at a time.

Trigrams: Earth over Wind

The judgement

Pushing upward brings great success. Seek out those who can help, have no fear, and keep moving toward the light.

The image

Wood grows up from within the earth. The noble one, devoted and patient, adds small things together to achieve what is high and great.

Light side

Steady, gradual effort can carry you higher than you imagined.

Shadow side

Wanting to leap instead of grow can cut you off from your roots.

Drawing Pushing Upward in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the I Ching when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• What small step upward could you take today?
• What does "Pushing Upward" show you about your square?
• If "Pushing Upward" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "Pushing Upward" in your life right now?
