Following 隨 Suí

Adapt to the times and follow what is good, without losing yourself.

Trigrams: Lake over Thunder

The judgement

Following brings supreme success, as long as you stay true to what is right. Then there is no blame.

The image

Thunder rests in the middle of the lake as autumn comes. The noble one goes indoors at nightfall to rest and renew.

Light side

Adapting to the times and to what genuinely leads can carry you further than control.

Shadow side

Following the wrong lead, or following only for comfort, loses your own direction.

Drawing Following in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the I Ching when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• What or whom are you truly following in this question, and why?
• What does "Following" show you about your square?
• If "Following" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "Following" in your life right now?
