The Lovers (VI)

A choice of the heart, true to your values.

The image

A naked man and woman stand in a garden beneath a great winged angel and a radiant sun; behind her a tree with a serpent, behind him a tree of flames, a mountain between them.

Keywords: choice, union, values

Light side

Real closeness and real choices come from honesty. When you choose from your values, both heart and mind can say yes.

Shadow side

Choosing to please, or avoiding a choice so as not to lose anything, splits you inside. Temptation is easiest when you do not ask what you truly value.

Drawing The Lovers in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the Classic Tarot when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• Which option in your question is most aligned with what you truly value?
• What does "The Lovers" show you about your square?
• If "The Lovers" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "The Lovers" in your life right now?
