Trigrams: Wind over Wind

The judgement

Gentle penetration brings success through small, persistent influence. Having a clear direction and wise guidance helps.

The image

Wind follows wind, reaching everywhere. The noble one spreads their intentions and carries out their undertakings steadily.

Light side

Patient, gentle persistence can reach places force never could.

Shadow side

Too much yielding can scatter your direction like wind without a course.

Drawing The Gentle in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the I Ching when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• Where could gentle, steady influence work better than force here?
• What does "The Gentle" show you about your square?
• If "The Gentle" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "The Gentle" in your life right now?
