Deliverance 解 Xiè

The knot loosens; forgive, release tension, and move on lightly.

Trigrams: Thunder over Water

The judgement

Deliverance has come. If nothing more needs doing, return to calm; if something remains, act on it quickly and then rest.

The image

Thunder and rain release the tension in the air. The noble one forgives mistakes and lets wrongs be pardoned.

Light side

The release of tension lets you breathe and begin again lightly.

Shadow side

Lingering in old grievances keeps the knot tied after it could have been loosened.

Drawing Deliverance in a game of Leela

In Leela Atlas you can draw a card from the I Ching when you land on a square. A bridging question links the card to the square, so the card speaks to your own question:

• What could you forgive or let go of now to feel free?
• What does "Deliverance" show you about your square?
• If "Deliverance" were advice for your question, what would it say?
• Where do you meet "Deliverance" in your life right now?
